Children’s Folklore Ensemble “Razvitie”
An integral part of FA “Razvitie” is the Children’s Folklore Ensemble. It consists of a dance troupe, vocal group and orchestra. Lead artistic director is Vesela Yordanova and Yordan Yordanov is assisting. Principal musician is once again Nikolay Totev and vocal coaching is handled by Plamen Penchev.
The Children’s Ensemble consists of eighty dancers and eight singers. The children can participate in performances of up to one hour. The ensemble is holder of a gold medal and a Grand Prix award from the 2012 Children’s Festival “Orpheus Spring”, Sofia as well as a special award from the 2017 International Children’s Ethno-Festival, held in the Mineralni Bani Municipality. The ensemble is also a representative of CIOFF for Bulgaria and as such, participates in international children festivals. Our young performers have been on stages in Belarus, Poland, The Czech Republic, Turkey and France. The children always give their best, demonstrating the beauty of Bulgaria’s national songs and dances. It is our belief that our folklore will stand the test of time!
